How Jesus Saves Us

The perfection of God’s creation was destroyed by the disobedience of our first ancestors, Adam and Eve. But God promised that there would be a way for sinful human beings to stand in His presence to receive salvation now and forever. In the Old Testament, people sacrificed the blood of animals to enter God’s presence, but now Jesus Christ, the very Son of God, has cleansed creation and atoned for the sins of the whole world by pouring out His own blood on the cross.

How Jesus Cleanses Us

Every human being is born as a sinner who is headed to hell. But through the waters of Holy Baptism, God provides a way for us to become one with His perfect Son, Jesus Christ. In Baptism, Christians follow Jesus in His journey of suffering and death, and then they rise with Him to a life that never ends. By water and in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, God gives life to His followers now and forevermore.

How Jesus Feeds Us

The most natural and intimate way of expressing common fellowship is at the table through a meal. Here on earth, Jesus Christ invites His followers to be present with Him by gathering together around the altar to receive the Lord’s Supper. In this meal, the body and blood of Jesus — which were sacrificed on the cross — are truly present with the bread and wine, and they grant us forgiveness, life and salvation in Him.

Want to learn more?

Following Jesus is hearing His Word and receiving His gifts and promises. We encourage you to learn more together with us for church services and through any number of Bible Studies available. We also have a class that goes through the basics of teaching of our Lord and God. It is God-pleasing to walk through Jesus’ basic teaching while having the chance to ask questions and hear what answers God does provide (Acts 17:11-12; John 17). That’s why we welcome and invite you to come, learn, and ask questions. Jesus wants you to hear His voice, understand Him, and follow Him (John 10:27; Acts 8:26-40; Luke 10:16). This class is informational and lead by the Pastor; the only commitment is your time to attend. All materials are supplied.
